The relationship between sport and peace is complex. The Olympic Games, conceived as a platform for global unity through sport, are now symbolically reinforced by the UN General Assembly, which adopts a Resolution calling for an Olympic Truce before each event. Recently, the responsibility of international sports bodies in promoting peace and adhering to international law has gained prominence amid multiple armed conflicts.
This event took place at the Carnegie Foundation - Peace Palace / Carnegie Stichting - Vredespaleis, and was co-organised with The Hague Academy of International Law - Académie de droit international de La Haye, the Research Chair on Anti-Doping in Sport of the Université de Sherbrooke and the Asser Institute.

With Prof. Jean-Marc Thouvenin, Dr. Julie Tribolo, Prof. David Pavot, Prof. Franck Latty, and Antoine Duval.
